Meet the Bridal Party

  • Sammie Harris

    Matron of Honor

Sammie and Kristina met while working at Mikuni Japanese and Sushi Restaurant. They pretty much lived by, “girls just want to have fun.” And fun they had. Whether it was going out every weekend or staying in and playing Just Dance or watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, they were always together. Sammie showed Kristina what it meant to be a true friend. As they’ve gotten older and the going out slowed all the way down, Sammie continues to be there for Kristina every chance she can.

  • Katrina Johnson

    Matron of Honor

Katrina is Kristina’s younger sister by a year and a half. Growing up so close in age, they definitely butt heads, fighting over who would take a shower first or spend more time on the one family computer. Regardless, Kristina was always proud of her sister. Katrina was the artistic, creative and musically-inclined one - being able to draw and paint, sing, play the piano, bass guitar, guitar, drums, and the list goes on. Although Katrina is younger, Kristina looks up to her and admires the woman she’s become and all that she’s accomplished; she couldn’t be prouder of her.

  • Sairrahe Johnson

    Bridesmaid

Sairrahe and Kristina met at a house party at UC Davis. Eventually, they both made their way down to Los Angeles and became roommates living in Korea Town and working at the same restaurant. They had a blast living in LA in their 20’s - laying out at the beaches in Santa Monica, shopping in Beverly Hills, dancing in Hollywood, they experienced it all together. And with everything they’ve gone through and will go through together, they’ll always have each other’s backs.

  • Cathy Dang Davis

    Bridesmaid

Cathy and Kristina met through mutual friends in their early 20’s. What started as friends of a friend turned into late nights out and early morning pho. Although Cathy could out drink anyone, she was the most level-headed and Kristina loved the advice and perspective she would give. Cathy is always there to give a shoulder to cry on or she can throw on her cowboy boots and hit Goldfields with you.

  • Sonya Tran

    Bridesmaid

Sonya and Kristina both attended Folsom High School together. They got close after graduating and even closer in the last few years. While they can be quite opposite, their friendship works. Sonya could spend days planning and putting together an itinerary for a trip and Kristina can just show up, down for anything even to risk their lives on top of a mountain in the middle of an island. They’ll continue to go on adventures and catch each other along the way.

  • Yishien Hsu

    Bridesmaid
Yishien and Kristina met when they were both pledging for Chi Sigma Phi. They bonded quickly over their love for Disneyland, boba, and The Bachelor. Yishien started Kristina’s addiction to Boiling Point. They’ve stayed close even after graduating - still going to Disneyland together whenever they get a chance and Yishien is a trooper, making the drive to Sacramento from LA just to be there for Kristina’s birthdays. They’ll never be able to tell you what exactly is so funny, but they can keep each other laughing so hard they cry for hours.

  • Dan Scicluna

    Officiant / Groomsmen

Dan is a “salt of the Earth” kind of person. If there was an apocalypse, he’s the guy that would start a community. Chris met Dan when Chris was trapped in a bush in a ravine at a Halloween party dressed as a banana. Chris saw a giant hand reach through the brush and was pulled out and saved by Dan. Dan and his family live about a mile away from Chris and Kristina and has been an integral part of their experience in Ventura.

  • Chad Corbin

    Best Man

Chad is the eldest Corbin brother of three boys. He is a musician, artist and computer engineer in San Francisco. He is not a very decisive person. It once took him three months to decide on hiking boots. He has some of the most interesting life experiences from living in Europe and is always ready to explore. Be sure to ask him about his time living with a gypsy in Spain.

  • Andrew Schoener

    Groomsmen

Chris met Andrew at brunch at El Paseo during a game of Oyster Roulette in 2005. Over the next few years, they spent a lot of time working and surfing together. Now Andrew takes pictures in the water and has a passport 4 inches thick. His latest hobby is collecting exotic fish and looking at them for hours.

  • Dave Weber

    Groomsmen

Dave Weber was one of the first friends Chris met in Santa Barbara when he moved there in 2002. They lived together on the Mesa and Chris could always count on him for a wild adventure. Chris was once arrested dressed as a pirate and Dave rescued him with a car full of pirates.

  • Tyler Metzger

    Groomsmen

Tyler is the definition of marching to your own beat. He recently moved to Oregon and started a farm (we don’t think he’s ever had a pet). He would win Naked & Afraid without ever being afraid. Chris once saw him on a construction site without shoes. If you’d like to meet him at the wedding, just follow the loudest voice you can hear.

  • John Gize

    Groomsmen

John had been living in Santa Barbara for a few years already when Chris moved to town. John was roommates with one of Chris’s mom’s students and they made it a point to introduce Chris to town and make him feel welcomed. John’s nature is just that, he makes everyone in the room feel welcomed and genuinely enjoys everyone’s individual personalities.

  • Spencer Havner

    Groomsmen

Chris and Spencer have known each other since elementary school in Nevada City. In high school, Chris was best friends with Courtny Kephart, who is now married to Spencer. They adopted Chris as their adult child but now it’s time for him to move on.
